Comprised of over 30 board-certified physicians, the team of VIA offer a full range of radiology services, including subspecialty specific interpretations, 24/7, and with the availability of our own IT and PACS solutions. 

VIA is seeking a Financial Director to join our leadership team. As a member of the Vulcan Imaging Associates (VIA) leadership team, the Financial Director will participate in the with financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the success of the vision and mission of VIA.  In addition, this position has operational responsibility for the accounting, billing and collections non-clinical risk management, budgeting and purchasing for the company. Understanding the healthcare industry, data analytics and market changes are key expectations as well as implementing the culture, mission and vision of VIA. VIA offers a comprehensive and competitive compensation package. 

Residing in Birmingham is preferred but VIA is also open to remote work possibilities. Candidates must reside in the Southeast to easily maintain an on-site presence with colleagues.

Primary Job Responsibilities: 1. Oversees the financial operations of the group practice. 2. Assists CEO in developing and implementing the business plan along with the strategic plan. 3. Participates in development of strategic plans, governance structure and objectives for practice management. 4. Responsible for financial analysis of all income and expenses to assure the development of projects, budgets and long-term financial viability. 5. Develops, maintains, monitors, and enforces accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. 6. Coordinates and directs annual capital and operational financial commitments, provides financial forecasts and variance analysis and presents to the executive leadership team and the BOD. 7. Provides budget and contract analysis and monitors financial contract compliance. 8. Evaluates operations to identify cost containment and increased revenue opportunities and recommends operational changes to leadership team. 9. Assures VIA maximizes revenue from payers and patient by maximizing billing rates and collections in conjunction with third-party billing partner. 10. Responsible for all employee payroll and benefits enrollment. 11. Creates and oversees strategies for integrating productivity and operating costs. 12. Effectively able to produce and analyze financial, billing, and operational data for continual operational improvement. Minimum Qualifications: - Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration degree required. - Minimum five years of health care management experience at the director level. Preferred Qualifications: - CPA or Master’s degree in business management with emphasis on Health Care Administration. - Radiology experience preferred.
