OrthoAlabama Spine and Sports is seeking a Practice Administrator to oversee the operational and administrative activities for our organization. The Practice Administrator will participate in the hiring, training, ultimate performance of clinic staff, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
Essential Job Functions: -Coordination of the day-to-day operations of two Orthopedic surgery offices that includes staff and schedule management, execution of internal and external meetings, and implementation of office procedures and protocols. -Assure practice expenditures are carefully monitored to maintain low overhead for the practice. -Coordinates with the partners and departmental directors to tie practitioner performance to overall business objectives. -Responsible for OSHA and other regulatory training and compliance, supporting compliance with federal, state and safety regulations. -Works with the human resources team for all clinic hiring, performance planning, and employee coaching with a goal of continuous staff training and development. -Responsible for addressing all staff concerns/issues and working with the management to produce a solution and plan of action for each issue brought up. -Ensures patient satisfaction, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and developing process improvements to prevent recurrences. -Have a thorough understanding of clinical & billing operations and the ability to support and impact efficiency while supporting regulatory and compliance requirements. -Develop and maintain community relationships with hospital system, local business leaders and other community stakeholders. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field with at least 3 years’ experience in managing the operations and human capital of a medical practice. -Experience in an orthopedic surgery office setting preferred but not essential. -Willingness to travel between each of our office locations as needed. -Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, customer, colleague, and vendor population -Demonstrated skill in organization, planning, project management and effective management of resources. -Knowledge of fiscal management of a private practice -Ability to create and implement data collection systems and expertise in office applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access -Demonstrated ability to learn and navigate OMS, EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR systems
